Botox™
Repeated muscular contractions such as frowning and squinting form lines on the face known as dynamic wrinkles. Botox™ works by relaxing the muscles that cause dynamic wrinkles giving the face a more relaxed and refreshed appearance. The procedure is so simple and quick that patients often have it done during their lunch hour.
During a treatment a tiny amount of Botox™ is precisely injected into the muscle being treated. Because the needle is so tiny and only a small amount of liquid is being used, the pain associated with the injections is minimal. Occasionally, a small bruise will develop at the injection site which can be covered with make-up. The effects of Botox™ usually last 3 to 4 months, at which time another injection is required. After several treatments, the effects of Botox™ may begin to last longer.
Botox™ injections are among the most frequently performed procedures in our office.
Dr. Denton has been treating patients with Botox for more that 7 years and performs each injection himself - ensuring his patients the best possible outcome.
