Introducing a new era in minimally invasive facelift, neck lift and brow lift techniques—Contour Threads. Contour Threads are the only non-absorbable barbed suture product cleared by the FDA for the elevation and fixation of the face, mid-face, brow and neck areas. These scientifically designed and tested sutures are fashioned from clear polypropylene, a material that has been safely used in the body as a suture material for decades.

A lift procedure performed with Contour Threads (also know as a Threadlift) is a safe, conservative and effective one that offers subtle, natural looking results. By gently, shifting sagging tissues in an upward direction, this technique allows the surgeon to produce a relaxed, fresh appearance while preserving and enhancing the natural contours of your face.

This procedure does not replace a conventional facelift; rather it offers patients an innovative, minimally invasive approach with immediate results.

Ideal candidates are those individuals with sagging and loose skin about the neck, jowl (jaw line) and cheek and who do not wish to undergo traditional facelift surgery. The Threadlift is also an excellent procedure for patients wishing a ‘tune-up’ at some point after their facelift surgery. The lack of incisions—and therefore scars—also makes this a great option for male patients.

Dr. Denton is pleased to be one of the only facial plastic and cosmetic surgeons in British Columbia trained to perform this innovative procedure.

During your consultation, you will have the opportunity to discuss your treatment options with Dr. Denton in a confidential and unhurried setting. Computer imaging will be performed to demonstrate to you the expected result following your Threadlift.

The procedure is carried out in Dr. Denton’s fully accredited operating facility in Vancouver, British Columbia under local anaesthesia or with intravenous sedation if chosen. Patients are generally able to return to work after 1 week.
